On January 13th, CHC participated in Cuesta College’s “Popalotzi” Latina Summit, where 60 Chicana and Latina teens gathered to receive information, motivation and inspiration about attending college. CHC Health Educators Gloria Johnson and Cristina Sedowski provided information on Women’s Health issues, teen pregnancy and STD’s. Medical Assistant Imelda Guzman answered vocational questions about working in the medical industry. Many thanks to these ladies for taking time out of their Saturday to empower local Latinas in making informed decisions about their future.
