Saluting California’s Healthcare Heroes

This year was CHC’s inaugural entry in the annual Santa Maria Elks Rodeo Parade. Staffers embodied this years’ theme of “Saluting Our Heroes” by doing what CHC does best − reaching out to the community.

Our entry was a great success, thanks to CHC volunteers and their families. With 20 adorable kids dressed in miniature scrubs and lab coats, we had the cutest doctors and nurses in town!
I couldn’t have pulled this off without the help of volunteer Parade Coordinator Irma Mejia! She’s a natural leader, with a “can-do” attitude that makes it fun for everyone. I owe you one, Irma!

Spreading CHC's Brand of Holiday Cheer

The holidays were a magical time at CHC, with a flurry of activities around the Central Coast. This year we participated in the Santa Maria Elks Holiday Parade with more than 30 staff members volunteering to walk in the parade, handing out “goodie bags” and spreading CHC’s special brand of holiday cheer. Special thanks to Irma Mejia for coordinating our entry in the parade, to Patty Starr for driving the mobile van, and to all the volunteers who helped decorate the mobile unit, assembled goodie bags, and brave the chill with big grins – Thank You!

Nipomo Chamber Mixer Raises the Roof

Our autumn mixer was a great success - thanks to Marketing Coordinator Steve Smith for a great job. Additional thanks to Clyde Cruise, and the Nipomo Chamber of Commerce for co-sponsoring the event. Special thanks to Bernadette Alexander for decorating, Phoenix Catering for the lovely spread, Ray Chang and his trio for the amazing Jazz, and Cambria Winery for donating the wine.
